Moraine Canoes

Moraine Lake, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada

This is a personal favourite. I visited western Canada in September and every day was blessed with perfect blue skies and stillness. Taken at dawn, the first lake-goers silently and obligingly paddled out to add some extra interest into this shot. Sometimes you just get lucky. It was a privilege to witness dawn at Lake Moraine, that is for sure.
