Ocean photography
Perhaps not a great surprise, but in my view the most challenging place to be a landscape photographer is at sea.
Beyond the fetters of sea-sickness [to which I am especially prone], the ambulations on the water render even the toughest tripod useless.
The sea demands uniquely quick compositional skills, there is often little time to steady yourself, let alone think.
As a subject, it is undoubtedly one of the most popular - I get more enquiries to shoot seascapes more than other inland projects. I have included some photos from riparian locations as well.
