The White-backed Vulture. Their group name at rest is committee, or volt. In flight they are known as a kettle. They can live up to 20 years. Taken at the hottest part of the day, there had been a kill nearby and many dozens of these birds were swirling impressively above. I was drawn to the composition before me, carnivorous scavengers in a long-dead tree.
